June is often referred to as the “Wedding Month”. To celebrate that fact, Pastor Lyle will be conducting a ceremony of the reaffirmation of wedding vows here at our church Saturday, June 26. The reaffirmation ceremony will be held in our church at 4:00 p.m. Following the ceremony and picture taking, a supper will be served with Wedding Cake! If you would like to take part in this ceremony, please contact the church office at 925-2987. Whether you’ve been married five years or fifty-five years – it will be a joy to reaffirm those vows that you first made on your wedding day!
Please give the church office or one of your deacons a call if you or someone you know in the congregation could use our assistance in any way! We are Truly at your service.
Per Capita is assessed on the number of active members on the church’s roll. Each governing body beyond our Session determines how much Per Capita it will assess the membership. This year our church Per Capita Apportionment is: $32.16 per member.
We are looking for individuals or groups who could provide special music during the summer. Please contact Julia Nixon if you would like to volunteer or if you know of anyone that can help
FLOWERS FOR MORNING WORSHIP SERVICES . . .
A tribute of fresh flowers for special people as memorials or celebration is a continuing tradition, and further acknowledges the glory of God in our worship experience at the Auburn Presbyterian Church. You can participate by choosing any Sunday morning of the year and filling out the yellow card located in every pew. Please indicate your name, the person/s to be honored, and words of tribute as indicated on the card and drop the card in the collection plates.
Now that we’re well into the 21st century, we hope to do more things online with our computer, however, we need your help! If you currently have an e-mail address, would you please let us know by contacting Tracy at www.apcsecretary111@gmail,com. To help cut postage costs we hope to start posting our monthly newsletter on the website and/or e-mailing them out. Your help in sending your e-mail address will help to make this happen. Thank you.
Monday, June 7, Jack Laurie Flooring will put new flooring in our fellowship hall. Before this work takes place we need help moving the pews and piano into the hallway. If you can assist, please come to the fellowship hall immediately following the June 6 worship service. Many hands will make light work!
June 6th at 8:30 AM Breakfast for graduating high school seniors in the fellowship hall.
The Evangelism Team invites you to join us this summer at a Tin Caps Baseball Game on Saturday, July 10th at 7:05 P.M. Quick Change will perform after the game followed by fireworks! Don’t miss the opportunity for a great night of fun and fellowship.
The cost per ticket is $9.00 with seats along the third baseline. Reservations must be made by June 10th by calling the church office or Peg Yoder. Tickets will need to be paid for by Sunday, June 20th. We will be doing some car pooling, so if you are not a night driver, let us know and we will arrange transportation.
