Rev. Lyle Ewing's first Sunday in the pulpit will be September 27th. Coffee and refreshments will be served on the portico following worship service, so please plan to visit with Rev. Ewing and his wife Teresa that morning.

Please give the church office or one of your deacons a call if you or someone you know in the congregation could use our assistance in any way! We are Truly at your service.

The October-November-December issue of "These Days" has arrived. You may pick up a copy in the church office.

The Choir as started fall practice. Join us on Thursday nights at 7:00 PM. New voices are welcome-we provide on-the-job training…for free!

LINDA PULVER BENEFIT Thank you to everyone for your wonderful support! The luncheon salad bar and bake sale was a great success. A special thank you to Joey Aiken for all her hard work and planning.
SUNDAY SCHOOL KICK-OFF will be Sunday, September 27th. We will meet immediately after the worship service and celebrate with a tailgate party. CE will provide everything… just bring yourself and enjoy!

PARKING LOT FUND RAISER: The Building & Grounds Team will be raising money during the week of the DeKalb County Fair by collecting donations to park. We rely on volunteers to park the cars and accept donations. Please call the church office if you can arrange your schedule to help out during one of the following days.
Friday, Oct. 2nd.: 11 AM – 2 PM
Saturday, Oct. 3rd: 11 AM - 2 PM
Saturday, Oct. 3rd: 2 PM – 5 PM
It's CROP Hunger Walk time again! This year's walk is Sunday, Oct. 11, with registration at 1:30 p.m. and the walk at 2 p.m. We will gather at Eckhart Public Libary. Our Friends' Table is slated once again to benefit from the money donated. So please give generously and join in the family-friendly fun as we help "de-feet" hunger. Questions: Call Barb Morrow

PLEASE VOLUNTEER YOUR SERVICES!
Each Sunday the morning worship service has many volunteers who dedicate their time to help make everything run smoothly. Without our volunteers and their commitment to the church it would be very difficult to hold the meaningful worship service that everyone relies on every Sunday. We are so thankful to each and every one of our volunteers.
As we head into a new year we are faced with making new schedules and filling those duties once again. Just a few of the areas that require volunteers each Sunday are ushering, greeting, and nursery workers. If you haven't already signed up to help with one or all of these areas you may do so by calling the church secretary at 925-2987. The new schedules for the year will be completed in the next week.

FLOWERS FOR MORNING WORSHIP SERVICES . . .

A tribute of fresh flowers for special people as memorials or celebration is a continuing tradition, and further acknowledges the glory of God in our worship experience at the Auburn Presbyterian Church. You can participate by choosing any Sunday morning of the year and filling out the yellow card located in every pew. Please indicate your name, the person/s to be honored, and words of tribute as indicated on the card and drop the card in the collection plates.
